AC has hosted many groups of all ages for many years including men’s and women’s retreats, families, and church groups. We are a small camp and can only host up to 50 people. AC offers a glorious place of solitude and reflection, so organize your own retreat or come up to one of the scheduled ones. Recently a guest dubbed her AC retreat as “the primitive spa of the north.” Come and see for yourself!
AC’s buildings are rustic yet comfortable. Only one building has plumbing and there are only outdoor lavatories. The outhouses are state of the art with private stalls.
The Bosworth and Patten cabins are available for lodging during your stay. The Patten Cabin can sleep 16 and is heated entirely by a wood stove and has a beautiful stone fireplace for your ambiance pleasure. The Bosworth Cabin is in the bunkhouse form and it can sleep 35. It is heated by propane stoves.
The sauna is located near Bow Lake. It is heated by wood and features a solid concrete slab with a drain so people are able to wash up right in the sauna. There is no better way to get 30 people clean in under an hour!
The lodge is where most of the activity occurs at camp. Constructed in a vintage post and beam architecture, the lodge has a pleasant woodsy appeal. It offers a large living area featuring a large stone fireplace that also seconds as an indoor climbing wall. The lodge also has a large dining hall where fabulous home cooked meals are prepared for you and enticing organic coffee is always hot.
